Our Mission: to build a new orphanage for 60 children in Medellin, Colombia and to donate 50,000 meals to orphaned children in Ethiopia, Haiti, and Honduras.

Our Story

The Hugo Project is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that started as a mission to give back to the orphanage I’m from in Medellin, Colombia. With lots of success, we were able to build a new playground and work to get resources for the new orphanage Casa de María is building. We are now helping to build a brand new orphanage to house 60 additional children.

As a result of seeing the success and how beautiful it was to create happiness in the lives of children- we decided in addition to helping out the orphanage we would expand our outreach to a lingering problem amongst children and families: malnutrition.

We decided to pair up with a nonprofit called Ricebowls to help feed children and fight malnutrition in some of the most poverty-stricken places in the world.

The Casa de Maria Project is a project to give back to an orphanage in Medellin, Colombia. We just built 60 children this new playground and now we are helping to provide washing and drying machines, as well 50 beds new orphanage for 50 new children of Casa de María y El Niño. We were successfully able to donate 50 mattresses, but we are still looking to help fund the necessary essentials to make the living situation possible.

2 washing machines:      $1,750

 2 drying machines:          $1,750

50 beds:                            $5,100

Help Build An Orphanage

Our goal is to donate 50,000 meals to feed orphaned children nutrient-dense meals in Haiti, Honduras, and Ethiopia. For just $1.00 a day you are able to feed a child 3 fresh and locally sourced meals.

Malnutrition or undernutrition is affecting children's health and brain development which negatively affects cognitive development, educational performance, and economic productivity in adulthood.

Luckily, The Hugo Project has just partnered with Ricebowls- a non-profit whose mission is to give orphaned children food and shelter to become healthy and safe.

Feed children 3 meals a day

With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of so many children who DESERVE it.
