Recently I had a life changing opportunity to go to the orphanage I’m from in Medellin, Colombia to see the children. I was also able to find my birth family with help from Colombia Tu Pais. Above is the video of me meeting my birth mom, Marta, for the first time.
The Hugo Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to Create Better Lives for Orphans. In 1995, at the age of 3 months, I was adopted from Casa de María y El Niño, an orphanage in Medellin, Colombia. Since my adoption, I was lucky enough to grow up with an incredibly loving and supportive family. In our world today, there are 153 million orphans and everyday around 5,700 more children become orphans. Through each one of our projects we look to give these orphans the resources they deserve. Right now, we are specifically working with Casa de María y El Niño orphanage to help them build a new playground and new roof for the children. We'd love your support through this journey!
